Notification of additional donations to the "From Miyagi Project"

2024/3/11

To all those who participated in and cooperated with the "From Miyagi Project" and to all those involved

Dear Sirs, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support.

Today marks exactly 2011 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 3, 11, and we would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to all those who are still working on recovery.

As part of a reconstruction support project for the Great East Japan Earthquake, artists Takeru Satoh and Ryunosuke Kamiki, signed with our company, released the book "From Miyagi," (NHK Publishing) in March 2022, co-authored by Takeru Satoh and Ryunosuke Kamiki. In addition, a photo exhibition commemorating the publication of the book, "From Miyagi," was held in seven cities across the country from March of the same year.
In addition, the Sendai Mystery Solving Walk: Make a Wish for the City, a mystery-solving event produced by the two, was held in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, from March 2023st to September 3th, 1, significantly extending the period from the original schedule.

We have already reported that in March of last year, we donated 3 million yen in profits from the "From Miyagi" project (royalties from the book "From Miyagi" (NHK Publishing), admission fees and merchandise sales from the photo exhibition "From Miyagi" (PARCO), etc.) to the Sanaburi Regional Creation Fund, a public interest incorporated foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Sanaburi Fund). We are now pleased to announce that we have now donated 1000 million yen in profits from the "From Miyagi" project, which includes last year's Sendai city walking mystery solving event "Sendai Mystery Solving Walk: Wishes for the City," to the Sanaburi Fund, just like last year.

In addition to the above, we would also like to report that we have donated a bookshelf and books to the Ashinaga Sendai Rainbow House, which provides support to children orphaned by the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami.

Finally, we would like to express our gratitude once again to everyone who cooperated with the "From Miyagi Project" and to the many customers who participated, and we pray for the speedy recovery of the disaster-stricken areas.

Best regards
